Field Hockey Readies for Saturday, Sunday Contests

Leopards go on the road at Holy Cross and Providence

- Lafayette heads up north this weekend for back-to-back contests on Saturday and Sunday at Holy Cross and Providence. Saturday's matchup with Holy Cross is crucial to the Leopards' Patriot League Tournament chances as the Crusaders knocked Lafayette out of tournament contention a year ago.

- Saturday marks the first of four out of the final five games on the road for the Maroon and White. The Leopards will return to Rappolt Field for the final regular season game at home in 2018 on Oct. 20, hosting American for Senior Day at 12 p.m.

- Earlier this week, freshman Molly McAndrew was selected as the Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the second time this season. Co-captains Theresa Delahanty and Lisa van der Geest were also lauded with honorable mentions.

- Lafayette is playing its best hockey of the season, riding a three-game winning streak into the weekend. The Leopards knocked off Penn, ranked 20th in last week's NCAA RPI rankings, on Monday by a 2-1 score, and have scored multiple goals in their last four contests.
