Senior Economics majors also garnered CoSIDA Academic All-District laurels

EASTON, Pa. -- Senior defensive end Andrew Chuma and senior safety Trent Crossan achieved Academic All-Patriot League status for the second straight season. The team honors student-athletes who excel both on and off the field and is made up of 14 student-athletes. This season, 15 student-athletes were recognized due to a tie in the voting.

The senior duo also captured CoSIDA Academic-All-District status on Nov. 15, and Chuma was named the Maroon Club Scholar-Athlete of the Year a day later at the Maroon Club Hall of Fame Induction Dinner.

Chuma played in 11 games in 2018 with five starts, making 32 tackles with 5.5 tackles for loss and three sacks. A native of Ridgefield, Conn., Chuma was named a semifinalist for the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame's William V.
