EASTON, Pa. – Senior
Ryan Barnett has been named to the Academic All-District II Football Team announced on Thursday afternoon by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Barnett will now be placed on a national ballot from which the Academic All-America Team will be selected in December.
A defensive lineman, Barnett has started five games and has played in all 10 contests in 2019. He has 27 tackles with 4.5 tackles for loss, including 3.5 sacks for a loss of 15 yards. He has also added four quarterback hurries and a fumble recovery. He has played in 37 career games.

A native of Chatham, N.J., Barnett maintains a 3.53 GPA while majoring in Mathematics and Economics. After graduation, he will be working at Accenture as a management consulting analyst in financial services.

Barnett is part of the Lafayette football Class of 2020 which will be honored prior to Saturday's 12:30 p.m. home game vs. Holy Cross. At 3-1 in Patriot League play, the Leopards are tied with Holy Cross for first place in the standings.
