BETHLELHM, Pa. – Junior right-handed pitcher Jake Bloss was named the Patriot League Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
 
This marks the second time in his collegiate career that the junior has been named the league's Pitcher of the Week.
 
Bloss picked up his second win of the season on Saturday in the Leopards 3-1 win over Bucknell. The Greensboro, N.C., native went eight innings and struck out a career-high and league-high 15 batters, allowing just one walk, one run and four hits.
 
Lafayette continues its season on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Villanova in the second round of the Liberty Bell Classic. The Lafayette Nine returns to Patriot League play on Saturday as they are set to travel Bucknell for a three-game series.
