BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior outfielder Pete Ciuffreda of the Lafayette baseball team was selected to the Preseason All-Patriot League team, the league office announced Tuesday morning.
 
In 2022, Ciuffreda was selected to the All-Patriot League Second Team. He recorded a team-high .330 batting average while starting all 50 games for the Maroon and White. He racked up 42 RBIs on 58 hits, including 12 doubles, one triple and five home runs. The Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, native stole a team-high 22 bases in 27 attempts.

Ciuffreda was also selected to the All-Patriot League Second Team for the 2021 season, where he scored 23 runs and recorded 31 hits, including nine doubles and two home runs. Ciuffreda totaled 28 RBIs and 46 total bases during his sophomore season, while finishing the year with a .304 batting average.

Lafayette is slated to open up its season on Feb. 17 at Southeastern Louisiana University.
