EASTON, Pa. - Senior goalkeeper Eric Axtman claimed a spot on the Academic All-Patriot League Team, announced Monday afternoon.

To be an eligible selection, student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.20, while having a significant impact on the field for their school. Freshmen are not eligible for consideration.

The Economics major with a Data Science minor was selected to the All-Patriot League Second Team on Nov. 7 and his 3.87 GPA during his time on College Hill placed him on the Academic All-Patriot League Team. On the pitch, Axtman has been a crucial part to the Leopards' success in 2025. The veteran shot stopper ranks first in the conference in goals-against average (.833) and his 78.6 save percentage and 55 saves place him third within the conference.

Axtman's eight shutouts move him up to fifth all-time for a single season in the program's record book. Lafayette's team defense sits atop of the statistical leaders in the Patriot League and is 25^th in the nation, conceding just 15 goals in 19 matches.

The Leopards' No. 1 goalkeeper is equally as successful in the classroom. He's made the College's Dean's List in five semesters and he is a recent Chi Alpha Sigma National Academic Honor Society Inductee (2025). Axtman is also an Omicron Delta Epsilon National Honor Society for Economics Inductee (2025) and he was awarded the James F. Bryant 40' Award, which is presented to a student-athlete that is a varsity letterwinner, who exemplifies excellence in academics and notable involvement in their community (2025).

The Maroon and White advanced to the Patriot League Semifinal with a win on Nov. 8 at No. 3 Army. Head coach Dennis Bohn and his group now prepare to face No. 1 seeded American at 12 p.m. on Tuesday at Reeves Field in Weashington, D.C.
