BETHLEHEM, PA - Lafayette women's tennis (3-1, 1-0 Patriot League) handed Lehigh (3-3, 0-1 PL) its first league loss, and started out the Patriot League regular season with a win over the Mountain Hawks, 5-4.

Lehigh took two of three doubles matches, but it was Lafayette who dominated the singles play, winning four of the six matchups. Winners for Lafayette were Derry Gushen, Felicia Turturiello, Lily Fardshisheh and Karen Meltzer.

Fardshisheh and partner Katie Gibbons teamed up to defeat Lehigh's Andrea Scott and Meggan Dencker, 8-2, for the match clincher.
