Sept. 17, 2000
The Lafayette women's tennis team continued its dominance over the opposition this fall with a convincing 6-1 win over the visiting Rams of Rhode Island at Northwood Country Club Sunday. The win marked the 296th career victory for Lafayette head coach Barbara Young.
The Rams (1-2) managed only one singles victory and were overcome by Leopards throughout the rest of the competition. Lily Fardshisheh (Potomac, Md./Holton Arms) battled with Rhode Island's Allyson Erasmus at the No. 2 singles position and came out with the 7-6, 7-5 (5) victory to improve her record this season to 3-0.
The Leopards (3-0) leap back into action on Sept. 19 in a match at La Salle.
