EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Senior Ken Poli (Darien, Conn./Darien) placed 25th overall to lead Lafayette in a tough field at the Leopard Invitational on Saturday at Lafayette's Metzgar Fields Complex. Poli finished the five-mile course in 27:18.

Freshman Matt Taverna (Whitesboro, N.Y./Whitesboro) placed 42nd in 27:53 in the 105-runner field. Freshman Kevin Penderghest (Lindenwood, N.J./Paul VI), sophomore Carlos Garcia (Jacksonville, Fla./Bishop Kenny) and sophomore Tom Kennedy (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side) comprised the rest of the Lafayette scoring five.

Penderghest placed 66th in 28:33 followed by Garcia in 71st (28:46) and Kennedy in 87th (29:43).

Lafayette finished eighth in the 10-team field. Pricneton claimed the team title. Columbia's Scott Simpson ran the winning time, completing the course in 26:16.
