LANCASTER, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette men's tennis team traveled to Lancaster, Pa. to take on non-conference opponent Franklin & Marshall and came away with a 7-0 sweep of the Diplomats.
The Leopards failed to drop a single set as they extend their winning streak to three with the win.
Lafayette got straight set wins from its top four singles spots including freshman Matt Coin (Wenonah, N.J./Gateway), co-captain H'Cone Thompson (Washington, D.C./DeMatha), junior Ryan Collins (Whitehouse Station, N.J./Hunterdon Central Regional) and junior co-captain Dan Seward (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West).
Rounding out the top six was No. 5 Mike Durette (Avon, Conn./Suffield Academy) and No. 6 Devin Murphy (Buxton, Md./Boys Latin School) who defeated F&M's Dan Lindenberg and John Cooperman in straight sets.
Lafayette doubles teams of Thompson/Seward, Collins/Durette and Coin/Murphy also picked up wins on the afternoon.
The Leopards (3-0) return to action on Thursday when they play host to St. Peter's in non-conference action at 3:00.
