BOCA RATON, Fla. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette's men's tennis team struggled in its spring season opener as it was blanked by Florida International, 9-0, on Monday. The Leopards' meeting with FAU was the first of two contests scheduled during Lafayette's Spring Break trip to Boca Raton, Fla.

The Leopards failed to score more than two points in each of the six singles matches and managed only three points in doubles action.

The loss drops Lafayette to 2-3 on the 2000-01 season heading into its final game of the team's spring break trip against Norwood University on Thursday.
