BOCA RATON, Fla. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette women's tennis coach Barbara Young celebrated her 300th career victory as the Leopards outlasted Seton Hall, 4-3, on Tuesday. The Leopards' meeting with the Pirates was the second of three contests scheduled during Lafayette's Spring Break trip to Boca Raton, Fla.
Lily Fardshisheh, Monika Serrano and Ali Kelley each recorded wins in singles and doubles competition, giving the Leopards (8-2) the final push they needed to get past Seton Hall. Fardshisheh won the No. 2 singles match and teamed with Shannon Rowe in No. 1 doubles for the victory. Serrano won at No. 5 singles and teamed with No. 6 singles victor Kelley in No. 3 doubles for the win.
Seton Hall falls to 4-5 on the year and 2-3 this spring season..
The Leopards wrap up their trip with a match against Northwood University on Wednesday.
