EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette men's and women's tennis programs earned a non-conference sweep of Coppin State on Monday at the College's Sullivan Courts, as the Leopards' women's team cruised to a 7-0 victory. In fact, Coppin State won just four games in the competition and no more than one in any set.

Meghan Rowe (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) posted a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Coppin State's Lilivette Rivera at No. 1 singles to get things rolling for the Leopards (12-4). Lily Fardshisheh (Potomac, Md./Holton Arms) kept it going with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Joanne Bernardo at No. 2 singles, while Shannon Rowe (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) stormed to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 3 singles over Tyesha Harvey.

Felicia Turturiello (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Governor Livingston), Monika Serrano (Caracas, Venezuela/Wallenpaupak), and Ali Kelley (Little Silver, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) won singles flights four through six, while the combinations of Shannon Rowe/Fardshisheh, Megan Rowe/Turturiello, and Kelley/Serrano were victorious in doubles action.

The Leopards return home to host Bucknell this Wednesday at Sullivan Courts beginning at 3 p.m.
