Men's Tennis Falls To Colgate In League Quarterfinals

HAMILTON, N.Y. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette men's tennis team traveled to Hamilton, N.Y., this weekend in the hopes of capturing the Patriot League title at the conference championships but the Leopards fell, 4-1, to the hosting Red Raiders of Colgate in the quarterfinals.

Sophomore Ryan Collins (Whitehouse Station, N.J./Hunterdon Central Regional) was the lone Leopard to pick up a singles win as he defeated Andrew Davis, 6-4, 6-4, in No. 3 doubles. Collins improved to 16-4 on the year.

H'Cone Thompson (Washington, D.C./DeMatha) and Dan Seward (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) defeated Eric Saccullo and Evan Paushter, 8-4, in No. 1 doubles but it was not enough to help Lafayette (8-8) get past the Red Raiders.
