EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette Men's Cross Country team finished in 11th place in the 8K Leopard Invitational on Saturday.

St. Francis (Pa.) University's Ryan Sheehan took home first place in 25:33, and St. Joseph's edged out Princeton for team honors.

Kevin Penderghest (Lindenwood, N.J./Paul VI) led all Lafayette runners with a 51st place finish in a time of 27:10.

Freshman Nick Baldwin continued to score for the Leopards, finishing in an even 28 minutes, in 67th place.

Sophomore Matt Taverna and junior Tom Kennedy (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side) crossed the line on one another heels. Taverna placed 71st (28:06.18) and Kennedy 72nd (28:08).

Colin McDonough capped off the Lafayette scoring with a 114th place finish (28:27.13) in the field of 146.

Lafayette returns to action on November 27, at Army in the Patriot League Championships.
