EASTON, Pa. - Brenda Thayer won the 400 individual medley, took home a second in the 200 backstroke and 200 IM and claimed a third in the 200 breast to lead Lafayette to a first-place finish at the Lafayette Invitational on Saturday. The Leopards finished with 318 points compared to Seton Hall's 311 and Kutztown's 141.
Jenny Moerschbacher won two events for the Leopards, touching first in the 100 back and 100 free, while adding a second-place finish in the 200 free.
Other event-winners for the Leopards included Lindsay McCarthy in the 1650 free and Jennifer Totten in the 200 breast. McCarthy also finished third in the 200 fly, while Totten added a third in the 100 breast.
In the relays, the Leopards tallied two seconds and three third-place finishes.
Lafayette returns to action against St. Peter's on Nov. 5 at 6 p.m. at Ruef Natatorium.
