Lafayette Men's Swimming Gets Past St. Peter's

EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette men's swimming and diving team defeated St. Peter's, 104-30 on Tuesday night at Ruef Natatorium.

Greg Van Volkenburg, Stephen Connlain and David Watts each swam to first-place finishes with times that placed them into the squad's top five for the season. Van Volkenburg swam a 10:15.18 1000 free, while Connlain finished with a time of 1:53.67 in the 200 free and Watts added a 5:28.03 performance in the 500 free.

Justin Gaudreau won the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events for the Leopards.

Tom Sheehan added a first-place finish in the 50 free, while Janis Eisl swam to a win in the 200 IM and Nate DeLong captured the 100 free.

Lafayette (1-1) dives back into action on Saturday at 2 p.m. against Drexel.
