ANNAPOLIS, Md. (www.lafayette.edu) - Navy handed Lafayette a 7-0 loss in men's tennis action on Friday in Annapolis, Md. The Leopards fell to 1-4 in league play while the Midshipmen improved to 3-1.

Navy started the day by winning all-three doubles matches. The No. 1 doubles team of Matt Coin and H'Cone Thompson fell to Navy's Cameron Lickle and Ryan Osgood, 8-5. Navy's No. 2 team of Davy Lee and Phil Voulgaris defeated Devin Murphy and Brian Schubert, 8-2. The Mids' Chris McGrath and Joe Weisberger teamed up to post an 8-4 win over Lafayette's Ryan Collins and John Zazzu at No. 3 doubles.

In singles, Navy's McGrath defeated Murphy at the No. 4 spot, 6-1, 6-0, while Voulgaris beat Zazzu at No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-1. Weisberger surrendered just one game in beating Mike Levey at No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-1.

At the top of the lineup, Lickle defeated Coin at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-3. Lafayette's H'Cone Thompson forced a first set tiebreaker from Navy's Osgood, but fell 7-6 (4), 6-4 at No. 2 singles. The Mids' Lee topped the Leopards' Murphy at No. 3 singles, 7-5, 6-3.

Lafayette returns home to host league foe Colgate on Sunday at 10 a.m.
