BRONX, N.Y. (www.lafayette.edu) - Sophomore Kevin Penderghest (Lindenwood, N.J./Paul VI) crossed the finish line first for Lafayette, and he was soon followed by four Leopards to complete the team's scoring at 205 points, finishing eighth out of 17 teams to compete at the Fordham Invitational on Saturday.

Penderghest finished in 28:14, and his four teammates all clocked in within 30 seconds after he crossed the line.

Colin McDonough (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe) was the nearest Leopard to Penderghest, finishing 48th (28:29). Freshman Nick Baldwin (Norfolk, Va./Norview) crossed the line on McDonough's heels in 28:34, in 50th position.

Junior Tom Kennedy (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side) and freshman Nick Birosik (New Ringgold, Pa./Tamaqua) completed the Leopards' scoring in 55th (28:41) and 57th (28:44.20) place respectively.

The University of Pennsylvania took home first place on the men's side with 26 points.

The Leopards return to action on September 28th at the Paul Short Invitational.
