PRINCETON, N.J. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette men's tennis team captured the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament championship for the second consecutive year. Four players won their respective singles flights as the Leopards finished with a team total of 21.5 points.
Matt Coin, Brett Warren, H'Cone Thompson and Dan Seward each walked away from the tournament with a singles title. For Coin and Thompson, it was their second straight championship.
Coin def. Fairleigh Dickinson's Alex Farria, 6-3, 6-3 in the championship match of the first singles flight. Warren swept Nick Denefiro of Bucknell, 6-0, 6-0 in his second singles title contest.
In the No. 3 singles, Thompson edged Peter Vaseoldsky of Downling, 6-4, 6-3 in the final match. Seward needed three sets to defeat Concordia's Christian Tingko, 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 in the fourth singles flight.
Bucknell finished second in the tournament with 16 points, followed by Concordia with 13 and Lehigh with 12.5.
Lafayette returns home to Sullivan Courts on Sept. 24 for a 4 p.m. match against Monmouth.

2. Brett Warren (LC) def. Tomas Ungrari (Dowling), 5-7, 6-4, 7-5.
3. H'Cone Thompson (LC) def. Todd Jacobs (Bucknell), 6-2, 7-6 (4).
4. Dan Seward (LC) def. Joe Menezs (Bucknell), 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.
