EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette women's tennis team beat Coppin State, 6-1, on Monday afternoon at Sullivan Courts to extend its season-opening win streak to four matches.
Chez Saricas, Monika Serrano and Susan King each improved to 4-0 on the season by blanking their opponents at No. 1, 3 and 5 singles. Shannon Rowe and Jessica Abel notched singles victories for the Leopards (4-0), who had to forfeit the fourth singles match.
Lisa Fung-Kee-Fung and Katie Gibbons recorded their second win together at No. 3 doubles.
Lafayette returns to action on Monday at 3 p.m. when they travel to Villanova.
