BETHLEHEM, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Sophomore Kevin Penderghest's (Lindenwood, N.J./Paul Vi) individual 10th place finish (26:42) led a strong Leopard contingent at the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Cross Country Championships.

Lafayette junior Tom Kennedy (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side) was the second Leopard to cross the finish line in 26:57 (17th).

Finishing on the heels of Kennedy in 27:09 and 27:15 respectively were sophomore Colin McDonough (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe) and freshman Nick Birosik (New Ringgold, Pa./Tamaqua). McDonough placed 17th, and Birosik 27th.

Freshman Nick Baldwin's (Norfolk, Va./Norview) 35th place finish (27:40) completed the Leopards' scoring.

Lafayette finished in a third place tie with Muhlenberg. Host Lehigh University won the event, and Kutztown placed second.

The Lafayette men return to action on September 14, at the Fordham Invitational.
