BOCA RATON, Fla. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette women's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to Colgate in the Patriot League opener for both schools on Tuesday in Boca Raton, Fla.
Chez Saricas defeated Marissa Alikpala at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-1 and Lily Fardshisheh captured No. 2 singles with a 7-5, 6-2 defeat of Lauren Erikson. In the No. 5 slot, Lisa Fung-Kee-Fung posted a 6-4, 6-3 win over Jaime Maldow.
The Leopards lost the doubles point after being swept in all three matches.
Lafayette (7-1, 0-1) will battle Palm Beach Atlantic in a non-conference match on Wednesday.
