EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) -The Lafayette men's and women's cross country teams both fell to Lehigh on Saturday in the annual Lafayette/Lehigh Dual held at Metzgar Field.
Tom Kennedy (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) was the top finisher for Lafayette in 12th place with a time of 28:07.49. Lehigh's Alex Hudgins was first overall with a time of 27:03.36.
The Mountain Hawks took the title with 15 points. The Leopards scored 50 points on the day.
In the women's race, Lehigh took the closely contested race with 27 points over Lafayette's 30 points. Devon Landers (Spring Lake, N.J.)was the top finisher for the Leopards, taking second place in 22:19.85. Taryn Landers (Spring Lake, N.J.) was third overall with a time of 22:21.56 and Mary Gillis (Cornwall, N.Y.) was fourth in 22:28.02. Lehigh's Andrea Luebbe was first overall with a time of 22:06.67.
The men's and women's teams will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 4 at Lehigh.
