EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette's women's tennis team was blanked by Rutgers, 5-0, on Wednesday at Sullivan Courts.
The Scarlet Knights won all four singles matches and the doubles match in straight sets.
Lisa Fung-Kee-Fung (Westmoorings, Trinidad/International School Port of Spain) dropped a 7-6, 6-2 decision at second singles in the closest match of the day. Ali Kelley (Little Silver, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) suffered just her third singles loss of the season, 6-0, 6-2 to Alina Balasa at No. 3 singles.
Kaitlin Link and Lauren Edelschein won the doubles match for the Scarlet Knights by a 6-3, 6-3 score.
Lafayette (6-3) plays the first of three road matches in four days on Saturday. The Leopards visit St. Francis (Pa.) at 3 p.m. on Saturday, then travel to Robert Morris on Sunday and St. Peter's on Tuesday.
