EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette's women's tennis team's three-match winning streak was snapped by Williams, 7-0, on Wednesday at Sullivan Courts.
The Ephs swept all six singles matches in straight sets and claimed all three doubles matches.
The loss, just Lafayette's second in six spring matches, drops the Leopards to 9-4 overall.
Lafayette's doubles tandem of Ali Kelley (Little Silver, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) and Stephanie Rosman (Margate, N.J./Peddie), who had not lost since the semifinals of the Patriot League Flighted Tournament in October, saw their four-match winning streak halted with an 8-4 loss to Julie Mallory and Alex Maclennan. The duo is now 12-3 on the season.
Lafayette opens Patriot League play on Sunday, hosting American at 11 a.m.
