EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette's men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Bucknell in a Patriot League match at Sullivan Courts on Tuesday.
Freshman Andrew Mott (Corpus Christi, Texas/Mary Carroll) and sophomore Brett Warren (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) collected the Leopards' team points with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively. Mott was a 6-4, 6-1 winner over Nick Denefrio, while Warren claimed a 6-2, 7-6(4) win over Gerald DiChiara.
Lafayette's only other win of the day was at third doubles, where Peter Titus (Brightwaters, N.Y./Bay Shore) and John Zazzu (Belle Mead, N.J./Montgomery) teamed for a 9-8(5) win over DiChiara and Aaron Saperstein.
Titus saw his five-match singles winning streak come to an end with a 6-2, 7-6(4) loss at No. 3 singles.
Lafayette (9-5 overall, 0-2 Patriot League) is back in action on Thursday, visiting Drexel for a non-league match at 2 p.m.
