EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette's women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Army in Patriot League tennis action on Wednesday at Sullivan Courts.
The Black Knights won all six singles pairings in straight sets and claimed the three doubles matches.
Monika Serrano (Caracas, Venezuela/Wallenpaupak) and Army's Ali del Moral played the tightest match of the day at No. 2 singles, with del Moral emerging with a 6-4, 7-5 victory.
Susan King (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) forced a tiebreaker in the first set at No. 4 singles, but ultimately fell 7-6(2), 6-3.
Lafayette (10-9 overall, 0-5 Patriot League) closes out the regular season on the road, visiting Drexel on Thursday and St. Francis (N.Y.) on April 15. The Patriot League Championships are slated for April 17-18.
