JERSEY CITY, N.J. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette's women's tennis team made light work of St. Peter's on Thursday, cruising to a 7-0 win.
The Leopards claimed all six singles matches in straight sets and swept the doubles pairings. Lafayette players lost one or fewer games in 10 of 12 total singles sets.
Junior Lisa Fung-Kee-Fung won the closest match of the day, claiming a 6-3, 7-5 decision at No. 1 singles. Jessica Kissen and Danielle Bailey were 6-0, 6-0 winners at No. 3 and No. 6 singles, respectively, while Stephanie Rosman and Meghan Fitzgerald posted identical 6-1, 6-0 wins at No. 4 and No. 5 singles.
Rosman and Bailey teamed for an 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles.
Lafayette (5-0) opens Patriot League play on Sunday, visiting Colgate for an 11 a.m. match. The Leopard men open their Patriot League slate immediately following the completion of the women's match in Hamilton.
