EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Andrew Mott and Brett Warren won both of their matches at first and second singles, respectively, and Lafayette swept all six doubles matches as the Leopards' men's tennis team picked up wins over New Jersey Institute of Technology and Mount St. Mary's on Saturday at Sullivan Courts.
Lafayette blanked NJIT, 7-0, while Mount St. Mary's picked up a solitary singles point for a 6-1 score.
Mott defeated Adrian Munoz, 6-1, 6-0, in first singles in the day's first match against NJIT. He teamed with Jeremy Fehrs for an 8-1 win at second doubles. The first doubles squad of Paul Guarino and Peter Titus won 8-2.
Guarino joined Mott at first doubles against Mount St. Mary's, a match that they won 8-5 over Bobby Cozzillio and Derek Taylor. Mott downed Cozzillio, 6-2, 6-1, in their singles match. Taylor defeated Brett Kraft at fourth singles for the Mount's only point.
Kraft and Titus won at second doubles, while Warren and Gabe Walker secured the sweep with an 8-1 victory in the third flight.
Lafayette will play three dual meets next weekend - at Rider on Friday, Sept. 16, at home against La Salle on Saturday, and at Robert Morris on Sunday.
