PROVIDENCE, R.I. (www.lafayette.edu) - Brown, ranked No. 43 in the latest list released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), defeated Lafayette 7-0 in men's tennis action on Monday at the Pizzitola Center.
The Leopards nearly took the doubles point from the Bears, as the second doubles pairing of Peter Titus and Jeremy Fehrs won their match 8-6 before the the team of Brett Warren and Lee Kojanis fell by an identical 8-6 score at the third spot.
At first singles, Andrew Mott had a more than respectable showing against Dan Hanegby, ranked No. 68 on the ITA men's individual list. Mott pushed the second set to 7-5 after falling 6-3 in the first.
Warren, Paul Guarino, Titus, Kojanis and Fehrs rounded out the singles line-up for Lafayette. Guarino teamed with Mott in an 8-1 setback at first doubles.
Sam Garland, Noah Gardner and Scott Blumenkranz each won a pair of matches for Brown.
