EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette dropped just two games in singles and swept doubles play from Fairleigh Dickinson by a combined score of 24-0 to cruise to its 13th win of the season against one defeat in women's tennis on Wednesday afternoon at Sullivan Courts.
Ansley Scudder and Danielle Bailey (No. 1), Stephanie Rosman and Jacqui Bonder (No. 2) and Nancy Parker and Juliann Harabedian (No. 3) showcased Lafayette's depth with 8-0 wins in doubles action.
Scudder (fourth singles) was the only double-winner for the Leopards, which sent 11 athletes on the court against the Knights. Lisa Fung-Kee-Fung, Julia Strang and Lauren Clarke were 6-0, 6-0 winners at first through third singles.
Meghan Fitzgerald (No. 5 - 6-1, 6-0) and Sarah Sykes (No. 6 - 6-0, 6-0) also earned victories for Lafayette.
The Leopards will host Manhattan on Friday at 3 p.m. before heading upstate to St. Bonaventure for play on Saturday.
