BALTIMORE, Md. - The Lafayette men's tennis team (8-4) defeated Coppin State 7-0 on Saturday at the Druid Hill tennis courts. Senior Brett Kraft recorded a singles victory at No. 1 and paired with junior Lee Kojanis to defeat the Eagles duo of James Jeffreys and Belind Kellici to win the first doubles. Kraft and Kojanis have combined for four doubles victories so far this season.
Sophomores Eric Wiley and James Murphy won their singles matches at No. 2 and No. 4, respectively. Rookie Justin Haar earned his second win of the season at No. 3 with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over his Coppin State opponent.
Sophomore Matt McGranaghan and freshman Kyle MacLelland won their doubles match to secure the point for Lafayette 8-0 over Vikto Lemberger and Javon Mallard.
The Leopards return to action and Patriot League competition when they travel to Army on April 5 for a noon match.
