HAMILTON, N.Y. - Sophomores James Murphy and Eric Wiley took a 8-5 decision in second singles to even the match up against Colgate on Saturday. The No. 3 pairing of MacLelland and Haar were unable to come out with a win to secure the doubles point as the Leopards dropped the match 4-3.
Wiley recorded the second Lafayette victory of the afternoon with a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles. In the fifth spot, rookie Justin Haar won his singles match in three sets over Michael Yassky, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. Murphy captured the final Leopard point at No. 6 singles with a 6-4, 6-3 win over his Raider opponent.
The Leopards look to rebound when they return home on Sunday to Sullivan Courts, hosting Bucknell at 1 p.m. The women's tennis team take on the Bison at 10 a.m.
