EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette hosted Bucknell in men's tennis on Sunday afternoon on Sullivan Courts. Senior Brett Kraft and freshman Justin Haar registered singles victories for the Leopards in the 5-2 loss.
It took three sets for the No. 3 singles match between Kraft and Bucknell's Zach Hascoe to be decided. Kraft took the first 6-4 and dropped the second 6-4 before recovering for a 6-2 victory in the third. Haar won in fifth singles winning both tiebreakers for the 7-6(4), 7-6(4) decision.
Sophomore Matt McGranaghan won the first set (6-4) at No. 2 singles, before Bucknell's Ryan Sandburg came back to win the final two 6-4, 6-0. Junior Lee Kojanis took the first set of his No. 4 singles match before Jonathan Brenner won it 4-6, 6-2, 6-1.
The Bison (10-8), 3-2) swept the doubles competition to start the match with a point before the singles portion began.
The Leopards take a break from Patriot League action on Tuesday when the men's team hosts Wagner at 3:30 p.m.
