WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Lafayette men's tennis team took the 7-0 victory over Holy Cross on Sunday morning at Army's Lictenburg Tennis Center. Four Leopards won their singles matches in straight sets during the sweep of the Crusaders.
Sophomores Matt McGranaghan and Eric Wiley battled through three sets for their victories at first and second singles, respectively. Senior Brett Kraft led Lafayette (10-5, 1-2) from the No. 3 spot as each of the following competitors earned their singles matches in straight sets. Kraft took his 6-2, 6-0 decision over John Burke. Junior Lee Kojanis shutdown the Crusader opposition taking the 6-0, 6-0 win at the No. 4 singles.
Kraft and Kojanis paired up to take the 8-5 victory at No. 1 singles. Haar and freshman Kyle MacLelland combined for an 8-0 win from the third spot to claim the doubles point for Lafayette.
The Leopards host St. Francis (Pa.) on Wednesday at 4 p.m. on Sullivan Courts.
