EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette men's tennis team lost its first match of the season (2-1) while the women's team, in their spring season debut, fell to 2-2 on the year as both teams lost to Fairfield on Saturday, 5-0.
In the No. 2 spot, Justin Haar won Lafayette's only set of the day, 2-6, against Rob Ferrante. But Ferrante recovered to secure the next two sets 6-2, 6-4.
The Leopard men continue action on Sunday at St. Peter's before returning home on March 7 to host Fordham at 3 p.m. The women will enjoy a brief hiatus from action until March 16 when they embark on a four-match road trip, beginning at Winstom-Salem State at 3 p.m.
