EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette women's tennis team snapped a four-match losing streak with a 5-2 win over West Chester on Thursday. Allie Seranko, Caitlin Gordon and Sarah Sykes each picked up two wins in a day's work.
Seranko and Gordon paired in No. 1 doubles to take down Claire Afrassiabian and Bridget Dougherty, 8-5. Seranko defeated Afrassiabian again in singles play in 6-4, 6-1 sets. Meanwhile, Gordon picked up a win in No. 5 singles, allowing Teresa Grasso just one win in 13 games.
After winning No. 3 doubles, 8-1, with partner Emily DeLuca, Sykes carried her winning ways over to singles in 6-1, 6-0 sets versus Kara Shumock.
Ansley Scudder also sailed to a victory in 6-1, 6-0 sets.
The Leopards (6-9) host their final match of the season against Lehigh on Monday at 4 p.m. before moving on to the Patriot League Tournament on Friday.
