WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Lafayette men's tennis team's season came to an end on Friday afternoon in the first round of the Patriot League Tournament. The Leopards lost to No. 3 seed and host Army, 4-0
The Black Knights claimed the doubles points with wins in the No. 2 and No. 3 matches.
Lafayette's Kyle MacLelland took the first set of the No. 6 singles against Pete Williams, 6-2. However, Williams fired back with 6-0, 6-1 sets for the win.
Lee Kojanis battled Bruno Lucivero in their second set but couldn't push a third set when he ultimately fell 7-6 (6).
Doug Gallagher was primed to win Lafayette's first match of the day, but his No. 2 singles match was called early as the Black Knights managed to score the four points needed to move on to the second round.
The Leopards finished the season with a 7-12 record.
