WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Lafayette women's tennis team finished its season on Friday afternoon in a 4-0 loss to Lehigh in the first round of the Patriot League Tournament. Because of earlier match cancellations due to weather, Friday's match was the first meeting of the rivals this season.
The Mountain Hawks took the doubles point with wins by the No. 2 and No. 3 teams.
Patriot League Women's Tennis Scholar Athlete of the Year Sarah Sykes went down in her sets, 6-1, 6-0, in the the No. 3 singles. The Mountain Hawks added two more wins over Rachel Rohinsky (6-1, 6-2) and Caitlin Gordon (6-2, 6-4) to take the win.
Allie Seranko, Ansley Scudder and Emily DeLuca were all ahead in the second sets when their matches were called.
Lafayette finished its season 6-10.
