PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Lafayette women's tennis team closed out its spring season with a 6-1 win over La Salle. The Leopards go into the Patriot League Tournament as the seventh seed this weekend with a record of 5-8, (0-5 PL).
At No. 2 singles, freshman Kelsey Grad did not allow her opponent Allie Amrein to pick up a single point and won 6-0, 6-0. Kathrine Charchalis took a victory against Pearl Wilkins, winning 6-0, 6-1.
In doubles, the team of Rachel Rohinsky and Emily DeLuca defeated Amrein and Courtney Babo, 8-0.
The women finished seventh in the league and travel to Hamilton, N.Y. for the Patriot League Tournament to take on No. 2 Bucknell on Friday at 6 p.m.
