BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lafayette men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Navy on Saturday, in a match played at Lehigh. Senior Kyle MacLelland had the lone win for the Leopards.
With the loss, the Leopards fall to 5-8 on the spring season with a 1-3 Patriot League tally. Navy, the preseason favorite and four-time defending Patriot League Champion, improves to 15-8 overall and 3-0 in league action.
The Midshipmen claimed the doubles point unanimously, and took five singles matches in straight sets. MacLelland was victorious in three sets at the No. 6 singles position for Lafayette.
The Lafayette men's and women's tennis squads return to the court tomorrow at league foe Colgate.
