EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette men's tennis team claimed four straight-set victories on Friday evening en route to a 5-2 triumph over visiting Fordham.

With the non-Patriot League win, the Leopards improve to 7-9 in the 2010-11 season.

After sweeping doubles competition to claim an early lead, the Leopards got singles victories from Doug Gallagher (No. 2 singles), Sinan Ipeker (No. 3), Scott Gelbman (No. 4) and Will Mercorella (No. 5) to clinch the win.

The Leopards are back in action on Sunday, heading to Bucknell for a Patriot League match against the Bison.
