Leopards Fall at Army

Lafayette Photo StoreEASTON, Pa. - The Leopards women's tennis team lost at Army on Saturday afternoon, 7-0 in West Point, N.Y. Lafayette dropped to 2-4 for the season.

Freshman Caroline Nixon was defeated at first singles, 6-0, 6-0, while sophomore Jordyn Spellberg fell at second singles, 6-3, 6-0. Sophomore Amanda Kusnierz and freshman Catherine Senopoulos lost at No. 3 and No. 4 singles and juniors Lucy Bass and Liza Blank each dropped their matches at fifth and sixth singles.

Nixon and Kusnierz fell, 8-3, in their first doubles match. Bass and Blank teamed up at second doubles, but were defeated, 8-0, while Senopoulos and Alison Dally dropped their third singles match, 8-2.

Lafayette stays on the road Tuesday March 26 when they play Belmont Abbey in Belmont, N.C. at 2 p.m.
