Lafayette College's Maroon Club and the Lafayette Sports Network welcomed the return of ESPN announcer Beth Mowins '89 to campus for a networking session with students, participation on the LSN telecast of the Leopards' men's basketball game vs. Colgate and a Maroon Club Coaches Lecture Series event.

Mowins currently works as an ESPN play-by-play announcer for college football, basketball, softball and volleyball. She called the 2000 Patriot League men's basketball tournament championship game at Kirby Sports Center, an 87-61 Lafayette victory over Navy.

Mowins earned her degree in English in 1989 after completing a Maroon Club Hall of Fame basketball career for the Leopards. A two-year team captain under head coach Pat Fisher, Mowins still holds the Lafayette single-season and career assist records. The Syracuse, N.Y. native ranks seventh on Lafayette's all-time scoring list with 1,159 career points.
