WEST POINT, N.Y. -- The Lafayette women's tennis team picked up its first Patriot League win of the 2016 season on Saturday afternoon, taking down Holy Cross in West Point, N.Y. by a 4-3 score.
Caroline Nixon, Catherine Senopoulos and Ally Simels were the three singles winners, while all three doubles matches finished in the Leopards' favor for the fourth and winning point in the match. Nixon and Moschella won in the top doubles slot, 6-0, Senopoulos and Simels took the second match, 6-2, and Megan Reiling and Haley Matthes finished it off with a 6-0 win in third doubles.
The win moves the women to 2-6 on the year and 1-1 in conference action. Below are the full results from Saturday's match. The Leopards return to Easton on Wednesday afternoon for a 3:30 p.m. matchup with archrival Lehigh.
