PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Lafayette field hockey took care of business on Sunday afternoon, taking down Bryant at Brown in Providence, Rhode Island in a 6-0 victory.

The Maroon and White put Sunday's contest away early and often, scoring two in the first quarter and four in the second period to put it out of reach. The win is the fourth straight for the Leopards and sixth in their last seven to move the overall record to 7-5 this season.

Defensively, the Leopards recorded their third shutout of the season, surrendering just six shots with two on cage. Senior
Sarah Park picked up her seventh win between the pipes with her lone save coming on a penalty stroke with less than 10 seconds to play.

Lafayette put 15 shots on target, forcing Bryant's Marjin Jaarsma into nine saves on the day. Corners finished at 12-1 as well with the majority of the game played in Bryant's defensive half.

The Leopards take the week off from Patriot League action with their next contest coming on Sunday at Rappolt Field against Temple at 1 p.m. Lafayette returns to Patriot League play on Friday, Oct. 18, traveling across town for The Rivalry with Lehigh at 7 p.m.
