WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Lafayette Women's Tennis team opened the Patriot League season with a 4-0 loss to defending PL champion Army West Point at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center on Saturday morning.
Sophomore
Samantha Snyder led her match at No. 2 singles against the Black Knights' Genevieve McCormick 6-4, 1-2 as play was halted when the hosts secured the match clinching fourth team point.
The Leopards have two additional shots at redemption this weekend as they will square off against Holy Cross and Loyola Maryland on Sunday at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
The loss drops Lafayette's record to 5-4 overall and 0-1 in the Patriot League.
