SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Lafayette Women's Tennis team got strong performances from the top of the singles lineup but ended up on the short end of a 4-2 result against Colgate in a Patriot League contest held on the indoor courts at Drumlins Country Club.
The Leopards
Grace Conrad and
Meredith Block defeated their counterparts at No. 3 doubles but the hosts won the the other two pairings to capture the doubles point. In singles,
Cecelia Lesnick lost the first set 6-0 at No. 1 singles before rallying to win the next two sets 6-1, 6-2 to earn a point against MacKenzie Deeter.
Samantha Snyder defeated Jordan Williams 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles but those would be the only two markers on the Lafayette side at the end of the match.
Lafayette (6-6, 1-3) will travel to Boston to take on the Terriers on Sunday to wrap up the weekend of Patriot League action.
