Bucknell Knocks Off Men's Tennis 4-1

John Yurconic earned a victory at No. 2 singles for the Leopards

EASTON, Pa. - In the penultimate match of the Patriot League regular season, Bucknell defeated the Lafayette Men's Tennis team 4-1 on Tuesday night in a match relocated from the Sullivan Courts indoors to the Northwood Racquet Club.

Playing at No. 2 singles, sophomore John Yurconic earned the Leopards lone team point of the match with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Max McDonald. Sophomore Brandt Baldwin was also locked in a tight affair against Andrei Vitiuc before play was halted when the Bison clinched the fourth team point of the evening.

Lafayette will play its final Patriot League match of the regular season on Saturday afternoon at rival Lehigh. Seeds for the upcoming Patriot League Tournament will be determined early next week to determine pairings for the championships hosted by Army West Point from April 18 through April 21.
